WELCOME

On behalf of organizers it is our great pleasure to invite you to a training programme "Soft Skills Training for Young Scientists“ which will be held on October 12-16., 2017 at Polymer Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava, Slovakia.

INTRODUCTION

Soft skills is an important tool for every scientist, enabling to communicate his/her scientific results to international research community. To improve the soft skills of young polymer scientists from V4 countries, we organize "Soft Skills Training for Young Scientists“ . The workshop is focused on the improvement of three important skills:

  • project proposal writing,
  • academic writing and,
  • presentation skills.

These competences will be taught by experienced professional trainers from Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, from company PDSC, o.z. and from Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica. The workshop will also contain a practical part, where the participants will work in groups on a joint project proposal under the supervision of the mentors.

The soft skills training is funded by International Visegrad Fund. The workshop is organized in the cooperation with Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Centre of Polymer and Carbon Material, Polish Adademy of Sciences, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and Tomas Bata University in Zlin.

The goal of this workshop is to increase competitiveness and to stimulate personal development of young scientists from V4 countries, important for their future career.
